Tashi Buddha Rope Incense
Tashi Buddha Rope Incense
Comprised of 25 ingredients and crafted by hand, Tashi Buddha Rope Incense is a traditional Nepali incense made with natural herbs, gums, resinoids, saffron, nagi, and red and white sandalwood. Each rope is approximately 9 cm long and 100% natural.
-
Materials: The incense is made from a blend of natural ingredients, including herbs, flowers, wood, spices, and sometimes medicinal plants. Some common ingredients include juniper, sandalwood, myrrh, cedarwood, and frankincense. These materials are often sourced locally from the Himalayan region.
-
Production Process: The herbs and other ingredients are ground into a fine powder and then wrapped in a strip of paper, which is twisted into a rope shape. This traditional method has been passed down through generations.
-
Burning Method: To use Tibetan rope incense, you typically light one end of the twisted rope and let it smolder. It doesn't need a holder, but you can place it in a small bowl of sand or a specialized incense burner to catch the ash. The incense burns slowly, releasing a thick, aromatic smoke.
-
Cultural and Spiritual Significance: Tibetan rope incense is often used in religious rituals, meditation, and healing practices. In Tibetan Buddhism, it is believed that the incense purifies the environment, clears negative energies, and aids in meditation.
-
Aroma: The fragrance of Tibetan rope incense is often earthy, woody, and slightly spicy, reflecting the natural ingredients used. It is generally less perfumed and more grounding compared to other types of incense
