This is a beautifully Patched Endless Knot on Red cotton Tibetan Buddhist door Curtain Endless Knot (shrivasta) - infinite wisdom of the Buddha. The never ending knot stands for long life and eternal love.
This Tibetan Door Curtain can also be used as a wall hanging.
These are to be found in many entrances to buildings and temples in Tibet, Nepal and Northern India. For Tibetans, most of these have a special spiritual or symbolic meaning, and are used as adornments for the altar, in the “Gompa” (meditation room) or at home.
